Please read the disclaimer before downloading / installing. - First of all, BasicMouse needs the Microsoft .NET 2.0 framework on your computer. The BasicMouse installer will check if it's installed but since the page Microsoft directs you to isn't to clearly about where to download what to choose you can also visit: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=0856eacb-4362-4b0d-8edd-aab15c5e04f5&DisplayLang=en
and install it before you download and install BasicMouse. If the Basicmouse installer redirects you to the 2.0 framework installation page, choose the X86 version (bottom left corner), this is mostly used.
