Please post all requests for features here and help me make the babymouse program better.
Good requests will be awarded with a free key for the BasicMouse PRO version!

Same goes for constructive bug reports<br><br>Post edited by: admin, at: 2007/11/26 04:12

I would like the program to start with a preset restricted mouse click area for my kids' user account as they access it. Meaning, once they select their account and windows starts, the clickable area is set.

Hi David,

If you put the basicmouse executable in e.g. c:\documents and settings\username for each kid.
And after that put a shortcut in C:\Documents and Settings\doolm.FIKSZO\Menu Start\Programs to basicmouse.exe (in the c:\doc..\username folder you should accomplish the same.
Check Run basicmouse in background mode and see if it works.

Kind regards,

Mike

Best practice is to uninstall the previouse version first or you can install the newer version in a different folder.
If you're having problems activating the Pro version with your 'old' key please send an e-mail and we'll provide a new one!

Kind regards,
Mike

I would like your program to work with the stylus for the touchscreen Fujitsu p1610 convertible.

The Fujitsu p1610 is a laptop/tablet convertible. It uses a touch (as opposed to the electromagnetic) method for the touchscreen. Thus, as soon as the stylus touches the screen, the equivalent of the LeftMouseButton is sent. This makes placing/moving the pointer without &quot;clicking&quot;/&quot;dragging&quot; impossible.

I would like you to extend your program to cover styluses (styli?) for touchscreen tablets too. ... So we can drag teh pointer round without the stulus' equivalent of LeftMouseButton being pressed.

I'm repeating myself, i know. but .. I would really find that useful. And I bet lots of others would too.

Newsflash

Attention: if you are running BasicMouse with Vista you might encounter some accessviolationexceptions errors in the BasicBrowser component due to a very common BIOS setting:
'EXECUTE DISABLE BIT'. This causes DEP to terminate the BasicMouse application Quick and Dirty...
http://www.intel.com/technology/xdbit/index.htm

If you want to solve this, reboot your system press F2 (or another function key) and disable this feature in the BIOS.

Some websites change their 'root' domain when you follow a link, for instance www.playhousedisney.com redirects to http://atv.disney.go.com/ so if you want to allow playhousedisney you also have to allow access to atv.disney.go.com!

Best practice is to first enter the URLS in a regular browser and see where they take you to.
